Richmond, Vic, 3121

The commercial strips of Victoria Street, Bridge Road, and Swan Street are three of the 82 designated main activity centres specified in the Melbourne 2030 Metropolitan Strategy. Richmond is a pretty damn good place to live. It’s got nearly everything you need near by – food, shopping, access to the city, sporting events

Since the early 1990s, the diversified area has been gentrified, and now features an unusual mix of expensively renovated warehouse apartments, public housing high-rise flats, and Victorian-era terrace houses. The suburb’s residential area is surrounded by a thriving retail sector. GTV-9 was the callsign for the Nine Network studios in Richmond until they relocated to Docklands in 2011. Although it is located in the nearby district of Cremorne, Dimmeys has long been identified with Richmond. The neighbourhood is noted for its popular factory outlets along Bridge Road, which continue to be a draw for visitors.

The dynamic and famous Little Saigon neighborhood along Victoria Street is well-known in Richmond.

Richmond was named after Richmond Hill in London, which has a view of the Yarra River bend, however the waterfront area was eventually renamed Cremorne.

Why Architectural Cladding?

The exterior of a home is the first thing people notice when they drive up to your house for the first time. A well-designed, attractive and functional exterior can give your property an edge over its competition in the housing market. Choosing architectural cladding for your home will not only protect it from harsh weather conditions like wind, rain and snow but also increase its curb appeal by adding visual interest with texture and color. There are many benefits to installing architectural cladding on your home’s exterior that make it worth considering as part of any major renovation or construction project.
