Toorak, Vic, 3142
Toorak has long been associated with luxury and privilege, with the suburb having a reputation for being Melbourne’s most affluent and ranking among Australia’s most distinguished. It boasts one of Melbourne’s highest average property values and is one of Australia’s most expensive suburbs. After Point Piper in Sydney, it is the second highest-earning postcode in the country.
Toorak is located on a rise on the south side (or left bank) of a bend in the Yarra River. It is bordered on the west by South Yarra, on the east by Malvern, on the east by Glenferrie Road, on the south by Prahran and Armadale, on the south by Malvern Road, and on the north by the suburbs of Richmond, Burnley, and Hawthorn. Toorak Road, where the commercial part of Toorak Village is located, is considered the suburb’s main street.
Toorak is named after James Jackson’s merchant home, Toorak House, which was erected in 1849.
Why Architectural Cladding?
The exterior of a home is the first thing people notice when they drive up to your house for the first time. A well-designed, attractive and functional exterior can give your property an edge over its competition in the housing market. Choosing architectural cladding for your home will not only protect it from harsh weather conditions like wind, rain and snow but also increase its curb appeal by adding visual interest with texture and color. There are many benefits to installing architectural cladding on your home’s exterior that make it worth considering as part of any major renovation or construction project.
