Ringwood North is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located 24 kilometers east of Melbourne’s CBD. It is mostly under the City of Maroondah local government region, with a minor portion in the north west of the suburb falling under the City of Manningham’s jurisdiction. Ringwood North has a population of 9,832 people according to the 2016 census. 

Loughnan, Warrandyte, and Wonga Roads border it on the south (these roads flow into one another continuously). In the southern half of the suburb, Glenvale Road forms the westernmost boundary, while the Warrandyte-Ringwood Road forms the westernmost barrier in the northern end. Property lines, not roadways, define the eastern and northern limits.

Ringwood North has its own shopping complex and is close to a number of parklands and reserves, such as Wonga Park and Warrandyte, without being overly rural. Its streets provide a happy medium between Ringwood’s sterile, parallel streetscapes and neighboring Park Orchards’ circular, contour line type streets.

Ringwood North is a mountainous location, particularly around the appropriately called Loughnan’s Hill neighborhood and the notoriously steep Glenvale Road.
